As we are nearing our EOCT, ( 5 MORE DAYS! ) you may wish to peruse the state released study guide. This study guide includes notes and multiple choice examples for each topic that will be covered on the EOCT.

Happy studying ! :)

Snow Day 1--

Yesterday you received several worksheets.

Some of you doubted me, but here we are!

Today we are working on two things:

1) Analytic Geometry

"Investigation: Quadratic Function Transformations" Link

Use either of the graphing tools I showed yesterday:

www.desmos.com

www.meta-calculator.com/online/

You will be exploring the transformations on a quadratic function in the form y = -a(x – h)2 + k by observing graphs and analyzing the changes that each variable brings.

You should use the half sheet titled "GPS Algebra: Warm Up" to summarize your findings.

2) Converting Forms of a Quadratic Notes Link

This worksheet has notes on converting between standard and vertex form of a quadratic equation. With your knowledge of polynomial operations and completing the square, you should be able to complete the worksheet.

Last night's homework was graphing worksheets 1 and 2. Please email me or chat me if you have any questions. You can leave comments here if you'd like to see a particular problem worked out.

Test Review Material

I tried and I tried, but I can't get my videos to upload tonight. (I need an iPad!!)

But here are some significantly less exciting videos that I hope can help you out some.

Remember that "Find the zeros" or "Find the solutions" or "Solve" all mean the same thing--- FIGURE OUT WHAT X IS! When in doubt just use the tools we've learned this unit to get x by itself!

GOOD LUCK!

Review 2 --- Key

To be clear, in number 21 I am connecting the binomial and the monomial by addition.  There is a + before the 8x

Review 1 -- key

ACC Geometry Week 2 - UPDATED with HW for 1/15

Now that we are getting into the swing of the new semester, check the "Resources" tab regularly for worksheets, keys, and extra material on the current unit.

The "KEEPER (ACC)" Tab has a running list of the items that should be in your Keeper notebook. Beware of random Keeper Quizzes!

This week we will continue with Unit 1, preparing for our first unit test January 22.

Monday - Simplifying exponents & operations

Tuesday -  Complex numbers & operations

Wednesday - Common Assessment (Pretest- but you should know units 1,2,3 from ACC Coordinate Alg / Geom A) & Continue complex numbers operations

HOMEWORK from Wednesday -Complex Numbers Homework

Thursday - Complex conjugates

Friday -  Complex conjugates continued..
